I went to a Maker Space Professional Development this past Saturday with other Richland 1 librarians, and we had lots of fun! Ida Mae Craddock from Burley Middle School was our speaker, and she did a great job! I learned how to make simple circuits from LED lights, copper tape, and watch batteries. We also made magnet games, bridges, paper airplanes, trebuchets, instruments from "trash", and made art from weeded books. I will post my video later of my circuits lighting up. I look forward to putting some of these ideas into the library soon. I know the students will enjoy making different things!
